I believe working and moving through past trauma and conflicts can help achieve anyone’s full potential and personal peace. Therapy, although can be challenging, it is one of the most rewarding, life-changing, and positive experiences a person can be part of.

I am a person full of empathy, compassion, and is committed to helping others no matter what walk of life they come from or what experiences they might have endured. I use a genuine and caring approach to help my clients not only understand themselves better, but to assist them to see their potential and that they can yes, truly heal from their past and reach their mental and emotional potential. I continue to strive to increase my overall knowledge and receive trainings related to trauma-
related care, anxiety disorders, attachment based neurobiology, and perinatal disorders.

In my personal life, I am a wife, mother, sister, coach, and outdoor lover. I hope to get the honor to walk with you side by side in your mental health
journey to reach a sense of freedom, recovery, and peace.

Experience

Over the course of my mental health counseling career, I have worked with a vast majority of different diagnoses and settings. I am currently a licensed mental health counselor both in the state of Washington and Colorado. I am also a National Certified Counselor and Certified EMDR specialist. I also hold an active license as an Occupational Therapist.

I spent several years working as a forensic therapist within the correctional system and in community corrections. This work included running a dual diagnosis program working with people who have sustained substance abuse disorders and complex trauma and solution focused, skills based treatment. I have experience in crisis work, diagnostic assessments, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and Dialoectial Behavior Therapy (DBT). Through this work, I developed a strong passions for wanting to treat and help get to the “root” of the cause of the actions, behaviors, and symptoms while working with the offender population. This led me to my trauma practice. Most recently I have been working in private practice focusing on trauma healing and processing with adults with post recent traumatic events and developmental trauma with an emphasis on attachment relational, and perimental health trauma.

In addition, prior to my career as an LMHC, I have had the opportunity to work as an Occupational Therapist in the geriatric setting working with neuro-cognitive disorders along with working with children with autism and sensory processing disorders in a private practice. I believe both careers align well when coming to heal and treat the whole person and have am actively working on supporting neurodivergent populations including assessment and evaluation for Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder.
